If I made the statement that Leontyne Price possessed the most beautiful soprano voice ever recorded, would anyone disagree? If so I would direct you to the clip below of her singing "Summertime" which is nothing short of sublime. This program is a very interesting mix of traditional African-American spirituals, German Lieder and French songs. I use the word "interesting" because Price seems to make little differentiation in the immediacy of her delivery in any of the styles. The sound is excellent.
