Today this cast would be considered "legendary", but in Salzburg during the 1960s it was almost routine. The most interesting feature of the performance is Evelyn Lear as Cherubino. Lear brings an opulence of tone that is slightly at odds with the character's boyish nature, but makes for an stunning rendition of "Voi, che sapete."
