  • Although nearing the end of her glorious career, Liane Synek still manages to bring vocal destinction to the role of Fricka.
  • Despite a long career singing Wagner, Wolfgang Windgassen demonstrates that his lyric tenor is still still well intact. Sadly he would die less than nine months after this performance.
  • Rolf Kühne's powerful, yet refined baritone is heard to excellent effect as Wotan.
