It is interesting to me that in recent months I have encountered so many different performances of Attila from the 60s and 70s.  No doubt this is due to the many fine basses available.  Jerome Hines shows how good this opera can be with a great voice.  Although his stage demeanor could be a little wooden he sings with smoothness and security.  Peter Glossop may be the stand-out as Ezio.  His voice is fresh and virile.  Nancy Tatum sounds appropriately hysterical as Odabella.  The sound is good.
