Magda Olivero proves why she was such a creature of the stage in this performance of Il Tabarro.  As Giorgetta, she conveys a woman who is fragile and pent up at the same time.  Her scene with Michele where they lament the death of their child is particularly touching.  Giorgio Fioravanti is a sturdy Michele as is Aldo Bottion as Luigi, but this is Olivero's night.  The sound is good.

BONUS:
Magda Olivero sings excerpts from La Fanciulla del west and Madama Butterfly.
