Listen to a Sample:
There is really nothing quite as good as Ghena Dimitrova in Puccini. Her voice had seemingly endless reserves of power. However, unlike the role of Turandot, which is more of a vehicle for vocal fireworks, Tosca requires different shades, and Dimitrova shows that she was more than a tour-de-force. She offer a beautifully crafted "Vissì d'arte", luxuriating in the legato. She is joined by Placido Domingo. In 1977 Domingo was truly at his peak and he sings fearlessly. The sound is very good.
