It is hard, at times, to think of Ramon Vinay as a tenor. His voice had the richness of a baritone and later in his career he would drop down and sing those roles. Here he proves his credential sufficiently as a great tenor with ringing high notes. Ebe Stignani is alluring as Dalila, her voice transitioning easily from rich chest tones to gleaming high notes. The sound is fair.
