Description:
A young Tatiana Troyanos demonstrates that she is a Santuzza for the ages. The sheer intensity of her singing is made doubly impressive by the fact that the voice never loses its distinctive beauty, even during the most dramatic moments. Wieslaw Ochman's youthful tenor is a good fit for Turiddu, even if he misses the mark slightly when it comes to Italianate style.
Unfortunately, the Intermezzo, the chorus "A casa, amici," and the Turiddu/Alfio scene are missing from this performance.
