Pros:
- In spite a of being only 35 years old, Astrid Varnay had already had a lot of experience with Brünnhilde, having made her debut in the role at the age of 23. The result is a performance that combines freshness of tone with interpretive sophistication the likes of which you would not expect from an artist in their thirties.
- Josef Greindl is pure evil as Hagen.
- It's fun hearing Regina Resnik in the short, but impactful, role of the Third Norn.
Cons:
- None to mention.
