- Carlo Bergonzi is heard at his absolute peak.
- Caterina Mancini was a last-minute replacement for Leontyne Price. Although she doesn't rise to the level of Price, she displays a rich tone and solid technique.
- The beauty of Anselmo Colzani's tone goes a long way in adding a more sympathetic dimension to Di Luna.
Cons:
- The music featuring the leads is more or less intact, however some of the introductions and chorus music is missing.
