- After a rocky start in Walküre and Siegfried, Margaret Kingsley finally hits her stride in Götterdämmerung, delivering some thrilling singing in Act II.
- James McCray's brings lyricism and heft to the role of Siegfried.
- Although Simon Estes may have lacked the gravitas of a true bass, the rich color of his voice makes for one of the most elegant Hagens you are likely to hear.
- The recording is in very good stereo sound.
