In 1972 Eva Marton was the ideal Odabella.   She already had the heft and color that she was known for at the height of her career.  What is surprising is the agility of her voice.  She has no problems with the coloratura or Verdi's octave-plus leaps.   Usually singers in this rep can manage either one or the other.  The sound is not ideal mostly due to the fact that this is from an outdoor performance but the voices come through.  This is a must-have for Eva Marton fans!
