Puccini: Tosca - Tinsley, Mauro, Cassel; Krachmalnick. Edmonton, 1972

$5.37

Pros:

  • Pauline Tinsleys' stunning high notes and fiery temperament make her an ideal Tosca.
  • Ermanno Mauro's attractive tenor finds a good fit in the role of Cavaradossi (although standing next to Tinsley he sounds a bit underpowered by comparison.)

Cons:

  • The sound is not ideal. There is a rought patch in the Tosca/Scarpia duet and the music just before Cavaradossi's entrance in Act III is missing.

In Mono
