Tosca
This performance of Tosca comes from the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and features Régine Crespin in the title role. While her top notes were not always the most reliable, here they shine with both brilliance and power. More than just a vocal powerhouse, Crespin infused everything she did with an irresistible sensuality, making this Tosca both hot-tempered and passionately intense. Gianni Raimondi delivers a solid, sweet-toned Cavaradossi, while Giuseppe Taddei is nothing short of terrifying as Scarpia.
