- It is baffling to me why Pauline Tinsley (or "the Tin") didn't have a career on par with her prodigous talent. Her voice had both power and beauty, and she excelled in an astonishingly wide repertoire.
- This compilation contains two hours of excerpts from Agrippina, Ernani, Macbeth, Il Trovatore, Simon Boccanegra, La Forza del destino, Edgar, Turandot, Cavalleria Rusticana, Götterdämmerung, Jenufa and Salome.
Cons:
- Since Tinsley recordings are rare and often come from some of the regional theaters of the U.K., the sound varies from track to track.
