This performance of Peter Grimes, recorded at the Proms, is a testament to how much Britons treasured Benjamin Britten. Sound problem
Wonderful performance. Another triumph for Vickers. The sound favors the left channel though. It's uneven and slightly dimmed. I heard a fabulous tape of this a long time ago, but this isn't it. Bummer.
