Pros:
- It's always fun to hear how a Wagnerian soprano fairs in Mozart. As Fiordiligi, Hildegard Behrens hits all of the marks, managing the coloratura and the tessitura without having to scale back her soprano.
- Trudeliese Schmidt's ample mezzo is well-paired with Behrens.
- Christoph Von Dohnanyi's approach leans towards the romantic, but he still extracts crisp articulation, as well as a sense of playfulness from the orchestra.
Cons:
- The sound is slightly distant, but the quality of the voices comes through.
