  • Liane Synek is the main draw in this performance of Macbeth. Although slightly past her glory years from a vocal standpoint, if anything she brings even more intensity and abandon to the proceedings.
  • In the title role, Wassili Janulako displays a voice capable of elegance and dramatic heft.
  • Nello Santi brings a well-needed touch of Italian authenticity to this German-language performance.
