Teresa Zylis-Gara was a soprano of remarkable versatility. Sadly she left very few documents of her artistry which is why I am pleased to have found this document of her singing one of the greatest soprano roles. Anna Bolena is a good fit for her. Her voice is appropriately elegant and her technique is flawless. Vera Little is a very good Jane Seymour and Henry VIII is Karl Ridderbusch. The performance is in German although it is conducted by Alberto Erede. The sound is excellent.
