Pros:

  • Jean Cox approaches Siegfried with lyricism and grace.
  • Heinz Zednik's wirey Mime nearly steals the show.
  • Of the Ring Wotans, The Wanderer seems to be the most comfortable fit vocally for Thomas Stewart.
  • Catarina Ligendza's slender, yet steely soprano seems to relish all of Wagner's vocal acrobatics in the final scene of the opera.

Cons:

  • Act II contains intermittent skipping.
