Pros:

  • Is there anything more exciting - and surprising - then going through life thinking you know all the great dramatic sopranos of the 20th century, only to realize, at the age of 44, that you have been deprived of the artistry of Marion Lippert for decades and didn't even know it? Lippert's breath control easily rivals Caballé and her voice possesses an evenness through every register. I am not sure why I haven't encountered her before, but I can't wait to hear more...
  • Hans Beirer is simply one of the best Siegfrieds in recorded history. It is a shame that he never got the chance to take this role into the studio.

Cons:

  • Not sure who played Mime. If you have any information please leave it in the comments.
