Many of you will already know the famous soprano aria from this opera "O non sono piu l'Annetta" which has been championed by singers like Anna Moffo and Joan Sutherland.  The rest of the opera proves itself quite worthy in the opera buffa tradition.  However, although it does bare a resemblance to other opera bufffa's this opera written in 1850 is already looking to the future.   The orchestration can be quite substantial at times and its fairy tail qualities hint towards things to come in music.  The sound is excellent.
