Pros:

  • This set is worth it alone for the Konstanze of Christiane Eda-Pierre. Eda-Pierre was a true dramatic coloratura soprano and sings a "Martern aller Artern" which delivers all of the coloratura with a ferocity that you rarely here in music as challenging as this.
  • Kurt Moll Osmin is lovable both for his charm as well as his mellifluous bass voice.
  • Karl Böhm brings years of Mozartian experience to the podium. He is joined by his son Karlheinz who plays the role of Bassa Selim.
