We are very proud to offer the most comprehensive retrospective of Dame Gwyneth Jones ever made! At over three hours, this music features highlights from the roles that made her famous like Brünnhilde, Aida and Sieglinde as well as some very rare recordings featuring Jones in roles like Donna Anna, Hansel and Carmen. I first heard Dame Gwyneth Jones when I was 14. It was May 1, 1993 and she was singing Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung. The experience changed my life. I had never in my life heard a voice of that size nor have I ever encountered a singer who brought the level of dramatic intensity to the stage in the same way that she did. It features arias and excerpts from Hänsel und Gretel, Don Giovanni, Aida, Ballo, Macbeth, Otello, Carmen, The Ring, Dutchman and Salome.
