Pros:
- This performance is proof that dramatic voices can and should sing Mozart.
- Despite having already ventured in to Wagner and Strauss, Gundula Janowitz shows that she has not lost any of the luster of her pristine soprano.
- Christa Ludwig struggles a bit in "Smanie implaccabile" and then warms up as the evening goes on. Her Act II duet with Walter Berry is one of the most beautiful I have ever heard.
- Walter Berry brings youthful charm to the role of Guglielmo and Eberhard Wächter is an excellent Don Alfonso.
Cons:
- None to mention.
