Listen to a Sample:
Pros:
- Carol Neblett was the perfect Minnie. Her voice had the right balance of warmth and steel to win your heart (as well as your ear.) This performance has particular interest because it marks her first time singing a role she would own for many years.
- Plácido Domingo singled out Dick Johnson as one of the hardest Puccini roles to sing, however you would have no idea judging from this performance. I would go so far as to make the argument that this was one of his best roles, suiting his temperament and baritonal voice perfectly.
Cons:
- None to mention.
