- Bruno Prevedi makes a rare turn in the title role of Otello. He may not be the most dramatic of Otellos, but you would be hard-pressed to find a tenor that sings with more grace and lyricism.
- Antigone Sgourda is an ethereal Desdemona, Kari Nurmela matches Prevedi in elegance and power, and Francisco Araiza makes a cameo as Cassio.
- Nello Santi delivers a nuanced reading of the score.
