Pros:
- Sándor Kónya and Elisabeth Grümmer are well-paired as Lohengrin and Elsa. Their Mozartean voices blend seamlessly in the lyrical passages, and both have no problem meeting the more dramatic demands of Wagner's score.
- Rita Gorr is one of the few mezzos I have heard in this role who doesn't sound pushed to the extremes of her range.
- As Heinrich, Franz Crass's warm bass voice is a soothing antidote in the midst of all the dischord.
Cons:
- None to mention.
