Lovers of opera in English will be glad to have this Nabucco from the Welsh National Opera. The great British soprano Pauline Tinsley assumes the part of Abigaille. Her performance dashes the stereotype that British temperament is not well-suited to Italian Music. Her cabaletta is very exciting. Raimund Herincx sings the title part of Nabucco. Although not the greatest Verdi baritone he is certainly very respectable. Clifford Grant sings the role of Zaccaria. The sound is fair.
