Teresa Zylis-Gara offers a compelling case for casting a soprano as Octavian—her distinctive vocal color brings both youth and richness to the role. Elisabeth Grümmer lends the Marschallin a sense of poise and restraint that feels almost Mozartian in its elegance. While the sound quality leaves something to be desired, the performance remains a captivating listen.
