Anja Silja is bit of a cult figure in the opera world. She started her career singing Zerbinetta and the Queen of the Night, moved to Wagner in her twenties and after Wieland Wagner died abandoned that to do whatever she felt like. Here she sings Tosca. Her voice conveys the strength of this woman and her frailty at the same time and she has some astounding High Cs. The sound is good.
