- This remarkable set features two sets of excerpts of Nabucco, one from 1958 and one from 1967. The common denominator is the astonishing Abigaille of Liane Synek.
- Although Synek's voice didn't quite have the agility needed for a perfect execution of this role, she more than makes up for it with thrilling singing. It is fair to say that she is one of the few truly great Abigailles in the history of opera.
- Both sets of excerpts contain all of Abigaille's music.
