- As Ariadne, Lisa Della Casa gets a chance to dip her toe into the more dramatic end of the pool. She is more successful when the music soars than she is when confronted with the limitations of her lower range.
- Hilde Güden steals the show as Zerbinetta. The fact that her ample soprano could navigate the coloratura pyrotechnics is nothing short of astonishing.
