- Even in the midst of this star-studded cast, relative newcomer Edda Moser manages to out-sing all of her formidably talented colleagues. She navigates the coloratura flawlessly, all while bringing a dramatic edge that one would associate with much more dramatic repertoire, resulting in one of the most exciting portrayals of Fiordiligi I have ever heard.
- Brigitte Fassbaender matches Moser well in both vocal weight and overall vocal color.
- Veteran bartone Eberhard Wächter brings warmth and class to the role of Don Alfonso.
