Pros:
- Elena Souliotis' prime didn't last more than a few years, but what a few years those were! Fortunately, this recording captures her in all of her glory. She fearlessly ascends to high Cs and then plummets to a low C to absolutely thrilling effect.
- This recording makes a very good argument that Peter Glossop may have been one of the greatest Verdi baritone's of his day. In particular, his "Dio di Giuda" is nothing short of a lesson in how to effortlessly spin a legato line without ever showing any signs of fatigue or strain.
Cons:
- None to mention.
