If you appreciate the Goodall English Ring Cycle, this performance of (most of) Act III of Siegfried will be appealing, showcasing solid vocal performances and excellent English diction. Margaret Curphey handles Brünnhilde's challenging cameo with ease, demonstrating both vocal control and poise. Jon Weaving brings a youthful quality to Siegfried, demonstrating solid technique throughout the role. Charles Mackerras offers a lighter, more effervescent approach, which contrasts well with Reginald Goodall's broader interpretation.
