A classic cast!  I knew that James McCracken had a rock solid technique that allowed him to sing even the most treacherous of tenors roles.  I didn't know that he had it in him to give as much as he does in this performance.   Montserrat Caballé excels equally in the ethereal moments of the love duet and her aria as well as the outbursts in Act III.  Peter Glossop is a chilling Iago.  The sound is good.
