I have not taken interest in Caterina Mancini until I heard your Ernani, and to another singer: Giuseppe Taddei who is also brilliant in this recording. (How little we neglect Taddei when he has been there all along) Caterina Mancini would have held equal rank (so too Gencer) with other sopranos' at the time but did not have entry to the opera houses on a regular basis and no major record deals like Maria and Renata.
