Another Rare Dimitrova Recording
The foundation of Ghena Dimitrova's career was dramatic Italian soprano roles like the title role in Turandot, Maddalena in Andrea Chenier and Abigaille in Nabucco. On paper, Elvira in Ernani seems as far from that as possible, but Dimitrova surprises by displaying a voice capable of early Verdi.
