An excellent performance. A pity that the video has deteriorated so this is a way to enjoy a superb performance without the visual distraction of a poor video.

I went to London in 1968 to hear the performance.

In spite of some strange noices like “bbgrrrs” sometimes ,the sound in Act 1 and 2 is excellent.Unfortunately i can´t say the same for the final part of Act 3 and Act 4.Specialy Act 3 final Scene the sound comes and goes,strange noices and the sound volume goes up and down,its not a pleasure realy.Its really sad, because the singers and the orchestra are all superb.Specialy Jones.
