It brings together a range of my favorite recordings of the final scene, including performances by expected interpreters such as Birgit Nilsson, Leonie Rysanek, Anja Silja, and Christel Goltz, alongside more unexpected contributions from Felicia Weathers, Montserrat Caballé, Ursula Schröder-Feinen, Hildegard Behrens, and Josephine Barstow, the last heard singing in English.

Very nice collector´s item
Among the 80+ Salome-recordings I own there are full opera-versions of all the singers presented here, some of them multiple times in different performances, but I still appreciate this, like, "best of..."-collection ... and very much so. You get a lot of different ways to approach a - verbally - "final scene" in a nutshell ... in two nutshells, this being 2 discs. Not being neither Salome nor Jokanaan you really can get the promised "lot of fun" with this compilation.
