The performance with Christa Ludwig and Theo Adam took place on 11 October 1977 (https://archiv.wiener-staatsoper.at/performances/9058#title). Grace Hoffmann sang the role on 9 November 1977, there was no Elektra on 10 November.

Excellent Performance in Mediocre Sound!

The big draw here will probably be Ludwig's Klytemnestra. This is her first performance of the part or close to it. She sings very well without the wobbly, character-voice that we hear so often in this role. I just wish the sound weren't so recessed so we could hear more of her subtleties with the text.Schroder-Feinen is good though I've heard her sing even better elsewhere. Jones sings a powerful Chrysothemis and the men are very good too. Stein shows again what an underrated conductor he was. The sound isn't that bad, but the Pirate Gods weren't in a good mood when this was recorded. If it's Schroder-Feinen you're interested in, she's heard to better advantage on some of Opera Depot's other Elektra sets. Otherwise for those who want everything Ludwig ever performed.
