I had no idea that Souliotis even sang beyond 1972, and assumed that--if she had--she would have sounded like a vocal ruin. I was wrong on both counts. . . .this recital from 1976 indicates that she was not only singing this late in the day, but that she sounded terrific. Her singing still had some of the defects that it had during her brief but meteoric heyday, but the intelligence and thrust of her singing is still there, as is her command of full-throated high notes, lovely pianissimi, and a sound that is still very much unique and utterly captivating. BRAVA!
