Pros:
- Although slightly past her prime, Leonie Rysanek doesn't let that stop her from unleashing a ferocious Tosca.
- Placido Domingo, found here in his absolute prime, is magnificent as Cavaradossi to the point that even the otherwise restrained Viennese public compels him to give an encore of "E lucevan le stelle."
- Theo Adam seems an odd choice for Scarpia, but he does surprisingly well, giving the character a sinister nobility you rarely hear in this part.
- The sound is excellent.
Cons:
- The sounds is slighly muffled.
