Pros:
- For a singer who defied classification throughout her long career, Teresa Stratas makes a good argument, as Mimì, that she was a Puccinian through and through. There is a sensitivity to her phrasing that is organic and she knows where to deliver the full scope of her sumptuous soprano.
- Carlo Cossutta brings a wonderful combination of elegance and power to the role of Rodolfo.
- As Musetta, Maralin Niska steals a scene or two in Act II, but then delivers some very poignant moments in Act IV.
Cons:
- None to mention.
