Both singers are captured in this performance at the top of their game, bringing a refreshing combination of youth, vocal bloom, and incredible Italian style. Joining this duo is veteran baritone Giuseppe Taddei, who manages to give the role of Marcello a multi-hued dimension that you almost never hear in this role. Nino Sanzogno leads a thoughtful yet somewhat restrained performance.
