It was a great joy to create this compilation of Montserrat Caballé. Just looking at the program, which includes work by Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Massenet and Rossini one is reminded of her astonishing versatility. Listening to these excerpts it is doubly astonishing how she was able to execute each of these composers effortlessly in terms of style and vocal production. You listen to her singing Donna Anna and you think what a great Mozartian soprano and then you switch to Puccini and although you recognize the voice you are suddenly listening to a great Puccini stylist. All I can say about this set is enjoy!
