Magnificent. A great historical document and with lovely singing from Janet Baker and Heather Harper. The sound is remarkably good. A real sense of occasion with Klemperer building tremendous momentum.

Wonderful recording
Klemperer was critical about most of Mahler's music. But he "believed"in his Second Symphony. We have 3 recordings of this symphony under Klemperer, one with Ferrier, one with Schwarzy, but this one is the best. To my opinion, no other Urlicht can match the Baker/Klemperer one.
