Pros:
- I would be lying if I suggested that this recording featured Elena Souliotis at her vocal best. However despite the occasional rough edge, she manages to sell the drama of this opera, without ever tiring or (more importantly) holding back. If it is not the dictionary definition of "bel canto", she nonetheless makes a good argument for the dramatic nuance of this opera.
- Bianca Berini makes up for Souliotis' shortcomings when it comes to vocal ability.
- Luigi Roni's commanding bass makes for an excellent Enrico VIII.
- None to mention
