For sheer vocal beauty, it is hard to think of a greater soprano than Kiri Te Kanawa. Her voice sparkled on top like no other soprano I have heard live, and while its purity made her ideal for Mozart, it also possessed surprising carrying power that made her equally credible in Verdi and Puccini. This nearly two-hour compilation showcases her exceptional artistry with arias and excerpts from Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Die Fledermaus, Arabella, Carmen, Faust, Simon Boccanegra, Otello, La Bohème, Eugene Onegin, and Vier letzte Lieder.
